Oh the Things She Does For Attention!

Tasia has adjusted to Braxton’s presence so much better than we thought she would. For the most part, she doesn’t want much to do with him—especially when he is crying. But, every now and then we will catch her ‘babysitting’ him like this:

As much as we have tried to make sure she still feels loved, she has dropped down the totem pole when it comes to mommy and daddy’s attention. So, she has started climbing to new heights to claim our attention like the top of our closet on my cowboy hat, the top of the mirrored dresser, and the worst—above the cabinets in the kitchen. We noticed the greenery starting to fall down one day and after fixing it only to have it fall down again the next day, we realized that it was her. It makes me so mad because to get up there she has to break the rules by walking on the countertops. But in order to stop her from doing it, we had to catch her (and take a picture first for proof) and then teach her that it is wrong. Here are some pictures:

As for Braxton, he is starting to put on a little weight, but is still probably only 7 lbs something. Here are some new pictures. Oh, and can someone help us figure out how to do ‘tummy time’? He falls asleep every time we put him on his stomach!

Dude, I have NOT figured out tummy time yet. Rush hates it. About 5 seconds after he gets down on his tummy gets really mad. But we did get a little play mat the other day (you know, the kind with the little bar going up and over with stuff hanging down that baby can look at) and that has a mirror on one side for tummy time, and Rush lasted pretty well for about one whole minute with that. Good luck with that... What a cute baby you have!!

Tummy time? Kennedy isn't a fan of it. She feels helpless and cries and sometimes it takes me a few minutes to calm her down. Every day I try it again hoping maybe one day she'll like it. And your cat is SO funny!!! Good thing my chihuahua can't climb that high. :)

Don't stress about tummy time. It will come....just keep trying often and he'll get used to it. They never really like it until much later.

if he falls asleep every time you put him on his stomach then just put him on his stomach all the time :-)
congrats on the little one! And if he's only 4 weeks you don't need to worry about the whole "tummy time" thing at all.

Hey...WOW! A kid! Congrats! Its been so long since I have heard from Clint that I guess he didn't even tell me you were pregnant. Thats awesome congrats on your little one. I enjoyed reading your posts and seeing your pictures. Thats a pretty intense and crazy birthing story but I am glad that things have turned out and that everyone is ok.

I was wondering if you had a blog so I blog stocked you from Clints blog. Hope you don't mind. You cat is awesome! I am sad because we had to give ours away when we moved out of the states. They were our kids...I can see you treat your cat like one of your kids too. Anyway you can visit our blog too at tayloringthegoodlife.blogspot.com
I am going to add you to our blog list.
