Disneyland Vacation Day 3

Day 3 started at Disneyland and ended at California Adventure. We started with the rides that had long lines the day before like Dumbo and It’s a Small World. He loved both and the lines were much shorter. Brian took him on the Matterhorn because he was tall enough, but Brax wasn’t sure he liked it much. Toontown was really great for kids his age because there were playgrounds and stuff to touch. He also got to meet Mickey (again) and Minnie.

Oh the frustration. Why won’t it come up?

Toontown

He loved this car and didn’t want to get off.

High five

Waiting to see Minnie—I love his face.

Hugs for Minnie. He couldn’t take his eyes off of her.

Why oh why can’t I get this up?

For lunch, we ate at Club 33. The LA office at Brian’s work has a Club 33 membership and we were able to get reservations to eat there. It is a ‘secret’ club of Disney and we had to find a special door in the New Orleans Square and ring a doorbell to get in. It was one of the best meals we’ve ever eaten including an appetizer bar with lobster, shrimp, and crab and a dessert bar with yummy bites of stuff we don’t even know what it was. Brian thinks he had the best filet mignon of his life and I had a deliciously moist chicken with truffle sprinkled noodles. I have never tried truffles before since they are outrageously expensive and they were good—salty and cool looking—but nothing so fabulous as to warrant how much people pay for them. We were worried with how Braxton would act in such a fancy place, but he was so great. People at other tables came up to us saying how cute he was and how good he acted.

Cool man

After lunch, we went back to the hotel for a nap. It was pretty late and by the time we woke up and got back to the park, we only had an hour or so at California Adventure before it closed. The Redwood Creek Challenge Trail was probably Braxton’s favorite place in the whole park. He could have spent the whole trip going down the slides, climbing through the trees, and running across the bridges.

That is so, so cool that you got to eat at Club 33! I hear it's pretty much impossible to get in these days and has, like a 30 year long membership waiting list!!

LOVE Club 33! And could Braxton look any cuter in those sunglasses?
