The river rafting ride looked so cool, but Braxton wasn’t tall enough and I couldn’t ride. It was also a little cold for how wet it looked like you would get so Brian didn’t do it either. But, Braxton loves carrousels. We went on this one 3 times while Brian rode California Screamin.
He also liked the huge ferris wheel, but I was totally stressed out the whole time. He wouldn’t stay seated and kept pressing up against the doors. I had terrible visions of the doors coming open and him falling.
One of Braxton’s favorite movies is Monsters Inc. and we caught the Monsters Inc. parade. He was so transfixed that couldn’t look away from them to smile for the camera.
This day was warm enough for him to get a little wet, so we let him play in the water with Grandma while Brian rode the Tower of Terror. He got soaked. We had to go back to the hotel for a change of clothes and a nap after that.
That night we went back to Disneyland to ride a few of Braxton’s favorite rides again and then back over to California Adventure for their World of Color show. It was basically an extreme water show with lasers and lights. It was cool, but Braxton wasn’t really having it. He only wanted me to hold him, which was killing me. While waiting for the show to start, I had to sit down and he kept coming to me with his blanket asking me to hold him like a baby.
The next morning (Day 5) we got up, packed, and went to the airport. Again, Braxton did really well on the flight. We didn’t even pull out the movie this time. He was just content with his trucks and cars.
All in all, it was a great trip and we are so glad we went. We couldn’t have asked Braxton to behave better than he did and although the long days of walking totally exhausted me, I wish we could go back. Since we’ve been home, Braxton has been tantrum-y and testing every boundary and string of patience we possess as we try to get him back into the normal swing of life. Disneyland was seriously the happiest place on earth!
